Dishwasher Recall Maytag
The American manufacturer of household appliances Maytag announced Thursday the recall of 1. 7 million dishwashers in the United States and 160,000 in Canada, due to a fire hazard. According to the manufacturer, "an electrical fault in the heating element of the dishwasher recall maytag can be a serious risk of fire. " Maytag said it had received 12 reports of such problems, causing fires or damage dishwashers, including a large kitchen fire. "No injuries were reported," assured the manufacturer. The affected devices were sold between February 2006 and April 2010 for a price ranging between 250 and 900 dollars, under the brand names Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef and Crosley.
